2021 PIKES PEAK OR BUST PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Bear Creek Regional Park was a great place for PPPA to host this very first tournament at this newest 12-court Pickleball venue in Colorado Springs. The Round Robin men's, women's and mixed doubles format was intended to provide our 189 players from Colorado, California, Arizona and Texas a lot of fun with a lot of games (well over 500 were played over the course of the 3-day tournament). But that would not have happened without the dedicated selfless support and many long hours given by our outstanding PPPA volunteers.

They provided player registration support, seeding and scheduling for 21 different divisions, finance and budget management, support equipment transportation and logistics, venue set-up and tear-down including PPPA corporate sponsorship banners, parking management, player check-in with tournament t-shirts, player goodie bags, IT support, day-of-operations schedule and bracket management, scorekeeping, volunteer coordination and scheduling, announcing, gold/silver/bronze medal awards, photography, referee/rules support, PA system management, PPPA sponsor-provided $50 merchandize prize drawings for players and volunteers, PPPA booth sales and silent auction, El Paso County Parks Department venue support and permitting, CSPD PA system use approval, food vendor coordination, player hydration and medical support, and many other essential functions.
