ADDITIONAL PICKLEBALL COURTS AT JOHN VENEZIA ARE COMING!

Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services plans to convert a tennis court into four more pickleball courts at John Venezia Community Park in the Briargate neighborhood.  A definite date for this project is not yet known, but the plan is to do it sometime this year.  The Parks and Rec Department also plans to resurface the existing courts at the same time the court conversion takes place.

For the last four years, PPPA designated $6,000 in the budget to assist with this project when the time came.  We are thrilled to now put PPPA's money from dues, fundraising, and tournament revenue toward increasing the number of pickleball courts in our community.   PPPA will continue to be an advocate for pickleball by working with both the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County Parks to increase the number of courts to accommodate the phenomenal growth of the sport in our area.
